This is a Green Barrel Business
When a Clean Business fulfills all of our requirements of eliminating single-use plastic we give them 3 waves, when they go beyond and do even more we give them the Green Barrel award. A Green Barrel business sets an example of how to make sustainability part of the menu and serve 100% plastic-free food.
Tell us more about your business and what products you offer?
This project was born a few years ago, precisely on February 12, 2020, although there had already been beginnings before with our ecological farm, which was born in 2010.
That farm was the one that led us to start our current restaurant, a vegan restaurant without gluten in which the menu changes every week according to seasonal products and surpluses from the garden. Edible flowers have always been our biggest bet, because, in addition to helping us on our farm, being food for bees, birds, and butterflies, they are ideal to accompany our dishes, giving them flavor, smell, and color, which is the true essence of the Greenhouse.
Why did you choose to be a part of Clean Business?
What are you doing to reduce your plastic footprint and be more sustainable?
In the Greenhouse we use returnable glass containers, biodegradable straws made with agave fiber, eco-friendly paper napkins, among other things, the use of paper bags or cardboard boxes for take-out menus, in some cases we use biodegradable bags…
We have also created this ecosystem, fish, turtles, California earthworms and monarch butterflies among others. In addition to solar panels in the lighting of our restaurant, with the idea of a future that is all sustainable.
What are you future goals regarding sustainability?
In the future, we will have created awareness and more and more companies will support and participate in CLEAN BUSINESS.
We invite you to meet us and above all, to support CLEAN OCEAN PROJECT.
